Competency lessons for Woman’s Month taken from:

Transforming your behaviour
The age old saying that ‘actions speak louder than words’ rings loudly during woman’s month. It is those women who show themselves to be capable and talented who stand out from the crowd.
Our skills and knowledge may stand us in good stead, yet if you think about the women who you admire, it is their behaviour that defines them.
Westover’s book is remarkable on many levels, yet the most awe-inspiring element are the actions that she took to uplift herself. It is through her behaviour that she could become who she wanted to be.
There were numerous factors which enabled her to do this, but she took those steps to walk into her future. Her behaviour at each stage of her transformation placed the foothold for the next.
Westover’s story is a lesson in how your actions mould your life. If you want things to be different then you need to make them different.
The funny thing is that once you make the initial breakthrough and shift how you behave, the new behaviour starts to define who you are, and how you now act. Through those actions, people see you, hear you, and become impressed by you.
When your behaviour mirrors your knowledge, skills, abilities, and knowledge, you have achieved the pinnacle of competency and you are able to display yourself to be as competent as you truly are.
